Yiliang ”Doublelift” Peng är en professionell League of Legends spelare som spelar för Team Liquid. Efter att Peng mottagit tragiska nyheter så annonserade han sin paus från E-sport. I söndags skrev Peng följande i en Twitlonger:
” This weekend I received some terrible news. My older brother attacked both of my parents with a knife. As a result of this attack, my mom passed away and my dad was seriously hurt and is now recovering in hospital. I’m still processing this news and joining up with my dad and little brother to make sure they’re ok and the proper arrangements are being made. I’ll likely be quiet on social media while I work through this. I hope you all understand and support me as you always have in the past. ”
Doublelifts bror Yihong Peng är nu arresterad för mordet på Doublelifts mor Wei Ping Shen. Guojon Peng, Doublelifts far, som skadades i attacken ska ha överlevt trots allvarliga skador. Enligt ESPN är polisen i full gång med att undersöka motiven bakom attacken.
Det blev ett tragiskt avslut på helgen efter ett bra spel från Team Liquid. Doublelift blev i helgen utnämnd till Player of the Series när Team Liquid besegrade Echo Fox.
